Left in this place alone
Here, in the empty wind-swept room,
Brought back here time and again,
To repeat the lesson I'd never learned.
Returned again in my mind's eye
Those dreams that just wont let me be
I thought I'd left it all behind
But I'm back again, here, just haunting.
Re-living a life thay never was,
Clinging to its every scene
Wishing never again to wake
But at the same repulsed by this ghastly dream.
An empty shell, the room was now,
Once, not long ago contained life
My silent tears betray that my heart,
Is mirrored in the bare corners of this dream.
